Hi. I'm sure this was expected by now. First, let me be very clear by saying that we are still going to do a Kickstarter. Just not anytime soon.
The feedback that you all have offered on how to direct the Kickstarter has been helpful and informative. I can not express my gratitude toward all of you who have helped out with ideas. While I may only ever reply with "Thanks for the feedback!" (or I don't reply at all), know that I do read your comments and suggestions! For the game, kickstarter, and forum.
We (the administrators) are really busy right now with our real life priorities. So any form of patience you can offer is really
appreciated. Please do not pry or pester for our personal information. Once again for your cooperation in this matter, you'll have our deepest gratitude!
For the delay on updates and progress I have heavily considered the release of the old, staff-only
multispecies-demo. It has a lot of bugs and some of the models are out-dated. However I also feel it may be a good way to tide a lot of you over until we can provide a new update. On the other hand, answering repeat questions about out-dated models, out-dated animations, and a generally out-dated demo is not something I, or any of the team, really look forward to doing.... so that is on my mind, and I am considering it heavily.
Then there is the alternative of releasing the Decayed Reality/Iko demo for online play. My idea with this is hosting a server two to three times a week for users to play and chat on. Unfortunately, the old, old, old Decayed Reality/Iko demo has no large set of animations, it is only the old waddle wolf model, there is no user/pw system, and no way for the staff to really moderate other than to shut the server down when someone is misbehaving. As you can imagine, this could lead to a lot of problems. So I'm reluctant to this idea. Very reluctant. (Consider it a 2% chance of happening.
)Will model and animation / texture and marking work continue?
That is up to fatbirdshoes
. I think things will continue as they are. Model work here, animation work there, some textures and markings now and then from the team. When will the forum be 'fixed'?
Hoping relatively soon. I know there's been a few complaints about the Itera skin we use... even if it isn't THAT bad of a skin, LOL.Can we expect a new demo/new demo content?
Not for some time, but I am considering making a new, updated demo .. for the Kickstarter, mostly.
Lastly, check out this Fundraiser to a good cause
that we're doing for one of our very own community members who has hit hard times. It is unusual for us to do this, but they've been around for a while now, and we're sure that our beautiful community can help out.
For the delay in progress and updates this past year, I am sorry. For your unwavering patience, you have our gratitude.
